To Draw A Mascot!!!
Hey, ya'll peoples out there! Well, this is a contest to see who can draw the best alien-esque mascot! As you can see on the left-hand side there's ZAAMOR from CORGAFOR, it's a temp so that's why I started this! I attempted to draw H4C's mascot with a little help from Photofiltre, but it was NOT up-to-par so that lovely yet unsatisfactory creature over there <--- will not do! The name still remains but not the image itself...I can see...like it's almost a vision that ZAAMOR will have many incarnations, but hopefully that's in the FAR-off future!
We would like to have 10-20 candidates and we will deliberate and get back to you if your drawing of H4C's mascot is in tip-top shape!

Well, get your hands to movin' and use your creative minds and draw US a beast of a mascot, thanks! =]

#namedropping / #sentenceme - personal Twitter game!
Yes, I have started a Twitter game which has been based off the song "Name Droppin'" by the Christian rapper T-Bone! It just hit me the other day and I figured it could be big, a few people have joined me in the fun such as @Dr_Disco and @TwiperLuvsGHS! I wish for everyone of my Twitter friends who are not preoccupied in much else to join too, it could possibly end up on the Trending Topics! =]
Example - Band: Counting Crows Sentence: "I went to the lake and starting COUNTING CROWS!" Get it?

My Life According To...
This was a survey I took on MySpace and it is fun and it's about music, so go for it!
Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Pass it on to a bunch of friends and include me. You can't use the band/singer I used. Try not to repeat a song title. It's a lot harder than you think! Repost as "my life according to (band name/singer)"
Pick your Artist: Family Force 5
Describe yourself: Radiator
How do you feel: Love Addict
Describe where you currently live: Face Down
If you could go anywhere, where would you go? How in the World
Your favorite form of transportation: Cadillac Phunque
Your best friend: Master Of Disguise
What's the weather like? Earthquake
If your life was a TV show, what would it be called? Drama Queen
What is life to you? Numb
Your last relationship: Replace Me
Your fear: Colour Of Water
What is the best advice you have been given? Lose Urself
Thought for the day: Share It with Me
My soul's present condition: Supersonic
My motto: Wake the Dead

Hometown Show Shenanigans
How goes it evrbody? Yeah I tried to put some gangsta on that opening. Anyway just checkin' in and letting you know how my weekend was.
Well on Saturday me, my friend Kate, and her friend Steph went to the All Time Low hometown show at Towson University. We The Kings, Cartel, and Days Difference played as well but All Time Low was by far the best.
We got there at around 4:30 and the doors opened at 6, or were supposed to because we didn't get inside until 6:30. And all the while when we were in line I had to pee something fierce and was not enjoying the millions of ants crawling around me on the ground. Too much detail, I know.
So we finally got inside and I went to the bathroom and started off listening to Days Difference in the back of the mosh pit then moved off to the side to get a better view. I would go up to the mosh area to get pics and videos for every band but for the most part it was off to the sedelines for us!
We also ran into Kate's friend Danny in the band Storm The Beaches. We ended up talking and buying tickets to see his band and a few others downtown on Thursday. I'll write a blog about that as well after it happens.
So then All Time Low came on and it was INCREDIBLE! They're so inspiring up on that stage and getting to see these boys who I went to high school with perform at the same college they garduated at for hundreds of people was the most intense experience. If you haven't heard them you need to take a listen. Alex, the lead singer, his lyrics make me cry. So show them some love they're my heroes and Baltimore's greatest export.
So all in all it was a very impressive show and all the bands killed it especially my boys ATL. A highlight included We The Kings covering I'm Yours and The Middle. Two great songs from two great artists performed by one of my favorite bands. It was a great night.
And the party didn't end there because afterwards we all went to eat at Applebees. We were STARVING let me tell youa nd I had 2 large glasses of water because I was dehydtated and my voice was virtually non-existent from singing so much and screaming for my bands. Kate and I got chicken fingers and fries and Steph got a burger and we all scarfed it down in minutes flat. By the way, just for you to know if you can go to Applebees after 9 because they have a special $3.99 menu. Nothing beats that after a long, tiring concert. Hanging with your girls at Applebees and eating 4 dollar chicken fingers. Good times.
SO that's it!! It was amazing and please check out All Time Low because they really are an awesome band. What can I say...it's love.

The Future of Hurrah
Hey y'all! Marerz again! Yes I know I just posted a blog not but a few moments ago but this was on my mind as well so I had to write it down..or I guess in this case type it, but the details aren't important. My homegirl Franchesca and I started this blog together a little while ago and it started out as just a way for two friends to write about they're musical lives but now it's turning the wheels in our creative minds. Let me explain...we've been chattin' it up on Twitter as always, and the idea popped up that we could take this show on the road so to speak. We want to interview a band to put on here for you guys and that got me thinking. Wouldn't it be cool if we got to go around to tours and festivals and do interviews with all our favorite bands as Hurrah For Concurrence??? I think YES. But as for now this is just an idea and we still have to get the first interview going somehow so what we'd like you all to do is please pray for us and send out all the positivity you can muster so maybe one day our dreams may come true..whatever that may mean :) Until then, we'll continue to wriet these random, awesome blogs for the fun of it cause let's face it, we rock at it.

Just Because...=)
Ok so before I go into too much detail on this blog I have to say that it really has no purpose but I just HAD to write it because I was just so dern excited! And yes I did just say dern...deal with it. Ok so basically my friend wrote on my wall "did you get my text :)" and I didn't because like the genius I am I left my phone in my bag and I don't have a cool ringtone at the moment so it was on vibrate i.e I didn't hear it. It said "Alex and Jack will be at the Recher on Sunday selling tickets to their show". I immediately freaked out after I read that. Alex and Jack, for all of you who don't know, are the lead singer/guitarist, and the lead guitarist from the band All Time Low. I am IN LOVE with this band and with Alex so of course I jumped at the opportunity to see them before I go see their homwetown show (they're from Timonium, MD, where I'm from and I went to high school with three of the four members, just a fun fact). This band is literally my biggest musical influence and I want to be them when I grow up :) ok I am basically grown up but still...I never cared about them when they were in town just starting out and going to high school cause let's face it, not many bands make it from high school and the local clubs and venues, so I never payed much attention. But they actually became HUGE!!! And they're now one of my top three favorite bands. Funny how that works lol Anyway, I texted my friend about it and she decided it wasn't worth it since she has plans and we both already have tickets and they'll only be there for an hour. So unfortunately we'll have to miss out on meeting Alex and Jack until the show on the 11th. But believe me, we WILL meet them. I have every intention of proposing to Alex after the show because I have thoroughly convinced myself that he writes his songs directly to me. Ok I know what you're all thinking and before you call 911 let me reassure you I won't actually do that. I may be in love with them but i'm no stalker. Plus when we do meet them I probably won't know what to say anyway. So what's the moral of the story? If there's a band that goes to your high school and seems to be on their way, do yourself a favor and pay attention and go see them while they're still local because you never know...one day they could be your number one and you'll have missed out on so many opportunities and end up a lonely girl who sits at home dreaming about the chances and success they've recieved...but i'm not talking about anyone in particular lol

A Legend Is Lost
Hey all, so today I come to you with some sadness in my typing. I'm sure you've all heard by now that the great Micheal Jackson has passed away. I must say even though I didn't grow up listening to his music and I myself am not personally influenced by it, he has still been a large part of my musical existence. I think anyone who loves music as much as I do will agree with me when I say that love him or hate him he was a music legend, or I should say IS a music legend. I was so shocked when I heard the news. I had just woken up from my nap (yes i'm 19 and I take naps, what of it?) and I came downstairs to my mom telling me "well you missed a lot". And then she told me. And I couldn't believe it. And I'm not the only one. I was just on Twitter and there were countless posts about it down my homepage from countless different people, some of which you would never think listened to his music. I was glad to see that they cared though and they should. I think it goes to show that no matter ow many bad things someone may or may not have done in their lives, no matter how much drama surrounded them, if they made a mark on history in a positive way, that's the mark of success. At least it is to me and I think we should all do MJ a solid and forget his checkered past and remember him for his incredible talent, not his numerous allegations.

Christmas...come quickly!
I just found out yesterday that Mac Powell from Third Day has written a song with Family Force 5 for their upcoming Christmas album which is not yet titled, but a title has been floating around on this here Internet supposedly called "Jingle Jam" which doesn't sound that original to me. Someone told me it may just be the working title and hopefully it is. Also it has been said it will release sometime in the Fall, so it can put people in the Christmas mood slightly early. To be honest with you, I've been in the Christmas for quite some time now, ever since Family Force 5 announced that they were recording a Christmas album. They already attempted a classic by Dr. Elmo called "Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer"[sometime in 2006] which is a great listen, if I shall say so myself. But by listening to the cover version by Family Force 5, you may not even want to listen to the original anymore not saying I won't because I tend to sink my teeth into originals that have been redone. FF5 has done the song some JUSTICE!
If you go to the blog where Soul Glow Activatur talks about the Christmas album, then you may request for the song/songs that you would like to hear on the album.

UPDATE: Solomon Olds aka Soul Glow Activatur and Jacob Olds aka Crouton were included on a Christmas compilation album called "Jingle Jam"[when they were younger] which sounds highly familiar to me. So the Family Force 5 Christmas album will NOT be titled the aforementioned title in the text above. Thank you!
